Amid growing anger over "insults" to PM Narendra Modi by Maldivian ministers - who have since been suspended - Indian business leaders waded into the debate. Top business figures like Radhika Gupta, CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Funds, and Adar Poonawalla, CEO of Serum Institute of India, pitched for development of Indian tourist hotspots, instead of visiting foreign locales. Meanwhile, cricketer Hardik Pandya also commented on the issue, after remarks from Sachin Tendulkar, and also Bollywood bigwigs like Kangana Ranaut, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan.
