Amid an exploding India-Maldives row, Indian company EaseMyTrip announced that it was suspending all flight bookings for Maldives. A day earlier, the company had said that it would announce "crazy special offers" to boost tourism to Lakshadweep. The controversy began with allegedly anti-Indian racist remarks by a Maldivian politician, and also insulting comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by some Maldives ministers who have since been suspended.
