New round of ‘yellow vest’ protests erupts across France
A new round of ‘yellow vest’ protests erupted in cities across France on January 12. Demonstrators took to the street to protest against President Emmanuel Macron. A video filmed in Lyon showed a garbage bin on fire in the middle of the street and smoke in the air. The police fired tear gas at the protesters. Protesters also hurled objects in the direction of police. Thousands of anti-government demonstrators protested against President Emmanuel Macron who is accused of ignoring the plight of millions of people struggling to make ends meet.
