Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that Ankara is firmly opposed to any military intervention against Iran, stressing that the priority must be to avoid further regional destabilisation as Tehran continues its crackdown on protests. Speaking at a press conference in Istanbul, Fidan underlined that Turkey does not condone the use of violence and will continue pursuing diplomatic initiatives.
