Over 270 die counting ballot papers by hand in Indonesian elections

Over 270 officials have died in Indonesia due to fatigue-related illnesses while counting ballot papers by hand. Indonesia, on April 17 this year, held the world's largest single-day poll. Apart from the 270 casualties, over 1800 officials have fallen ill. The nation's General Election Commission has come under heavy fire for over-exerting the workers.
