- Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif peddled anti-India hate and opposed India's bid for permanent seat at UN Security Council. While addressing the UNGA, Sharif said adding new members will paralyse the Security Council's decision-making and create a new centre of privilege. Sharif's remarks came as India continues to push for reforms in the UNSC at two key meetings. India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held meetings with the G-4 and L-69 group of nations on the sidelines of UNGA in New York, who have strong SC permanent seat aspirations.
