The anti-Taliban terror protests in South Waziristan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region spiralled out of control as talks between the organisers of the protests and the authorities failed. Protesters have now blocked roads as nearly 8,000 shops in the Wana area remain shut. The protests have been ongoing for five days now in South Waziristan, where TTP attacks have surged in recent months. Inflation, wheat crisis in Balochistan, demands for reunification with India in Gilgit Baltistan and now protests in South Waziristan have become a fresh headache for the Shehbaz Sharif government.
