Afghanistan's current regime, the Taliban, has urged India to invest in urban infrastructure projects. The request came during a meeting between the head of the Indian technical mission in Kabul and Afghanistan's minister for urban development and housing. India has in the past invested around $3 billion in Afghanistan, mostly in infrastructure projects.
