Pelosi's Taiwan trip emboldens West; Now Canada delegation plans Island visit

- A Canadian parliamentary committee delegation is planning to visit Taiwan in October, a move that could further worsen relations between Ottawa and Beijing. The Canadian delegation will seek economic opportunities with Taiwan. It will follow a high-profile visit to the self-governed island by US Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi in August, which sparked a furious response from Beijing.
