People enjoy free meal made of discarded food

Thousands of people enjoy a free meal made of fresh produce in Los Angeles which would have been thrown away for being less than perfect. The vegetables used were plucked from a farm & a nearby wholesale market. Over 1,200 pounds (545 kg) of mushrooms, leafy green vegetables and tomatoes were used in the stew that was served.
