Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps is reportedly behind the recent attack on two Israeli ships in the Indian Ocean. Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen, citing informed sources, reported that the IRGC attacked the ship in retaliation to the assassination of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Saleh al-Arouri, in Beirut on January 2 and the Iranian commander in Syria, Brigadier General Razi Mousavi, on December 25.
