Qatar's deputy premier & foreign min holds high-level talks with Taliban

Qatar has become the first country to hold high-level talks with the Taliban govt in Afghanistan. Qatar's deputy premier and foreign minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdul Rehman Al-Thani visited Kabul on Sunday. He was welcomed by senior Taliban officials at the Kabul airport amid heightened security. The Qatari foreign minister held a meeting with the PM of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Hasan Akhund.The meeting was attended by a number of Taliban ministers, including UN designated terrorist Sirajuddin Haqqani.
