Russia, the U.S., UK and Germany have reached out to Iran and Israel both to exercise restraint after Tehran warned of an imminent attack on Tel Aviv's assets in anger over the Damascus strike on April 1 that destroyed the Iranian consulate building. After warning its citizens against travel in Middle East, Kremlin spokesperson said that all parties must exercise restraint to avoid destabilisation in the region. U.S. secretary of state dialled his counterparts in Saudi Arabia, Turkey and China, asking them to speak to Iran and tell it to not attack Israel. German and British foreign ministers held separate phone calls with their Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amirabdollahian, conveying the same. Meanwhile, Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said that his country was ready for any attack from Iran. Iran is expected to attack Israel within the next 48 hours. Watch for more details.
