Russia praises Taliban at meeting attended by India, boycotted by US

- At a meeting with a Taliban delegation in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that "numerous terrorist groups" including the Islamic State group and al-Qaeda are trying to take advantage of the unstable situation in Afghanistan. Russia also said that Taliban must meet expectations on human rights and inclusive governance to be recognised by international governments, but acknowledged efforts by its leadership to stabilise Afghanistan. The Taliban delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi. Watch the full video for more details.
