Slovakia donates S-300 air defence system to Ukraine amid Russian invasion

Slovakia has donated its S-300 air defence system to Ukraine to help it defend against Russian attacks. In a post on Facebook, Slovakia Prime Minister Eduard Heger said the donation of the Soviet-made anti-aircraft batteries did not mean that the European Union and NATO members had joined the conflict with Russia, which invaded Ukraine on February 24. “I also assure you that the defense of the Slovak Republic is still secured and in the coming days it will be strengthened by an additional system of anti-missile defense by our allies,” he added.
