Pakistani security forces killed at least 11 terrorists in a special operation in south Waziristan. Top militant commander Hafeezullah Tore, alias Tore Hafiz, was among the dead. Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed reporters that the dead also includes two suicide bombers. The law and order situation has worsened in Pakistan due to a spike in terrorist activities in recent months. Meanwhile, three policemen were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in two fresh attacks. The increase in terror attacks occurred after the TTP ended a ceasefire with the Pakistani government in November last year.
