Taliban in Afghan presidential palace as Ghani flees to ‘avoid flood of blood'

Taliban assumed control of the Afghan capital and took over the presidential palace. A video showed Taliban leaders watching the coverage from Presidential Palace. As per reports, Taliban will proclaim re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani left the country as Taliban entered Kabul. Ghani, in a Facebook post, said he left the war-torn country in order to avoid ‘bloodshed’. He said, “The Taliban have made up their mind to remove me, they are here to attack all of Kabul and the people of Kabul. In order to avoid the flood of blood, I thought it was best to get out.” Watch the full video for more.
