'Taliban might whip us', 'can't travel alone', 'want to fight': Afghan women

As the Taliban seek UNGA platform to speak to the world, Afghanistan’s women narrate how the new ‘rulers’ have them cut off from work. Taliban had issued a ‘stay at home’ diktat for working women of Afghanistan and barred girls from going to secondary schools. The women featured in this video narrated how they live in fear of getting whipped and are unable to provide for their families. Most of these women used to work for international organisations and were left jobless after United States’ hasty withdrawal from the war-torn country. Watch the full video for more details.
