Texas police officer targets dog, accidentally kills woman

A Texas police officer accidentally shot and killed a woman as he was trying to target a dog. The incident happened in Arlington, Texas on 1 August. The officer, who was approaching the woman, thought the dog, probably belonging to the woman, was running towards the officer to bite him. The officer fired rounds and heard the woman screaming. The woman was later transported to Medical Centre of Arlington where she untimely died. The officer has been placed on administrative leave until the police do further investigations.
