Top Taliban minister provokes; hails suicide bombers, promises rewards to kin

- A top Taliban minister praised sacrifices of suicide bombers as 'heroes of Islam & country’. Sirajuddin Haqqani reportedly met their relatives in a hotel in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul. Sirajuddin Haqqani, a top leader of Haqqani Network, is the home minister in Taliban govt. In images, Sirajuddin was seen praying & embracing men in a glitzy ballroom at the hotel. The images were posted by pro-Taliban social media accounts & local media on Tuesday. As per Afghan state broadcaster RTA, Sirajuddin Haqqani praised the jihad and sacrifice of the martyrs and mujahideen. He stressed that they must refrain from any betrayal of the aspirations of martyrs. He also promised $125 and a plot of land for each family. Sirajuddin is listed as a terrorist by the United States with a $10 million bounty on his head.
