Iran’s latest drone strikes on the UAE have sparked fury and fear after three foreign residents in Dubai were reportedly jailed for privately sharing photos of an explosion with their families, even as missiles and drones continue to threaten vital energy and port infrastructure across the country. Radha Stirling, CEO of Detained in Dubai, warned that criminalising private, unshared photographs related to sensitive security incidents “risks punishing victims rather than protecting them,” adding that many expatriates wrongly assume that sending a personal image to family members is harmless.
