According to the most recent census data, the Muslim population has increased by 44% over the last decade. 3.9 million Muslims are now living in London, up from 4.9% to 6.5%. For the first time ever, the Christian population is less than 50% in England and Wales. It also discovered that Punjabi and Urdu have risen to the fifth and sixth most spoken languages in the UK, respectively.
