In a rare condemnation of Israel, the U.S. has criticised the warring nation's recent actions in Gaza where a UN shelter was reportedly targeted. The UN claimed that Israeli tanks shelled the shelter which was housing displaced people and caused 'mass casualties.' U.S. State Department spokesperson, Vedant Patel, called the strike “incredibly concerning.” He added: “Civilians must be protected, and the protected nature of U.N. facilities must be respected.” At least 9 people were reportedly killed and 75 people were injured. However after the U.S. criticism, Israel's military blamed Hamas for the attack. Watch for more details.
