US deploys warships east of Taiwan; Russia backs China, slams Pelosi's visit

• Russia jumps into Taiwan fire amid tensions between the United States and China over US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's possible visit. The Kremlin has now issued a warning the US and said that the visit to Taiwan is 'purely provocative'. Russia's warning comes amid repeated threats from Xi Jinping administration. However, the US seems to be unfazed and has deployed four warships east of Taiwan as Pelosi heads to Taipei. These warships also includes an aircraft carrier.
