Watch: After rocket attack on airport in Kandahar, Afghan forces target Taliban

Afghan air force has launched a major counter offensive against Taliban fighters who have launched simultaneous attacks on various provincial capitals of the country. According to Afghan Ministry of Defence, several Taliban insurgents were killed in multiple air operations that were launched in Kandahar, Herat and other provinces. Heavy fighting is underway in urban centres of Kandahar, Herat, Kunduz and Helmand provinces. The Kandahar airport terminal has been restored after it was hit by Taliban insurgents with a rocket fire two days ago.
