In an interview with ‘Axios on HBO’ Pakistan’s Prime Minister blamed women’s clothing for rising sexual assault cases in the country. The Pakistani PM said, “If a woman is wearing very few clothes, it will have an impact on the men, unless they are robots. It’s just common sense.” His remarks have led to an outrage on social media. While some of his supporters are calling it a misinterpretation of the Khan’s comments. In April this year too Imran Khan had made similar remarks. He had said that the concept of ‘purdah’ in Islam is to keep temptation in check.
