Watch | Vatican kicks off festive season by lighting up Christmas tree

The Vatican kicked off the festive season on Friday with the annual lighting of a Christmas tree in St. Peter's square. Crowds gathered to watch the lighting of the giant spruce as night fell over St. Peter's square. This year the tree is 25 metres (82 feet) high and has come from the Italian town of Scurelle, near the northern city of Trento.
