Watch | Vaux Swifts suffer as brick chimneys are torn down

The Vaux Swifts are tiny birds and live inside chimneys. These little birds have drawn the attention of people at the elementary school in Portland, Oregon. This chimney has had 16,000 birds since 2009. With the dwindling number of forests, these birds use such brick chimneys to rest at night while migrating to south during winters and then back north in spring. This is an annual practice. But as chimneys are disappearing, even the number of swifts are going down.
