Why Pak PM Imran Khan is refusing to endorse Gen Bajwa choice for new ISI chief

A big row has erupted in Pakistan after Prime Minister Imran Khan's office did not issue the notification over the appointment of new DG ISI Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum announced by Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa. Pakistan PM, as per country's law, has the legal right and prerogative to appoint the ISI chief in consultation with the Army chief. However Imran is reportedly keen on retaining Lt General Faiz Hameed, who has been appointed as Peshawar Corps Commander. Imran has cited situation in Afghanistan, among other issues, for Faiz Hameed to continue as the chief of powerful ISI. Watch this report for more.
