At least 351 people were killed and nearly 100,000 left homeless when a tropical cyclone tore through Myanmar, razing thousands of buildings and knocking out power lines. The cyclone Nargis ripped through Yangon and Irrawaddy delta and flattened at least two towns. The death toll is likely to rise in the outlaying villages that felt the full force of the cyclone.
