Female rebel fighters take part in beauty pageant in Ukraine

Female rebel fighters participated in a beauty pageant on Saturday in the rebel-held city of Donetsk. The unusual event saw the fighters swap their military boots and camouflage fatigues for high heels and ball gowns. The pageant was held on the eve of the International Women's Day. According to the biographies of the competitors, some of them left their children behind to fight on the side of the pro-Russia rebels. One of the contestants was a woman from the Russian city of Bryansk, around 124 miles from the Ukrainian border.
