Heavy gunfire at Bangladesh paramilitary HQ

Smoke could be seen billowing over Dhaka on Wednesday after heavy gunfire broke out at the headquarters of the paramilitary Bangladesh Rifles or BDR.Unofficial sources said there may be casualties.Witnesses said they saw army troops moving towards the headquarters as flames rose from the complex and big blasts were also heard. Traffic came to a halt as news of the shooting spread panic across the capital,and people could be seen running through the streets.
