Updated on Oct 23, 2008 11:02 pm IST

Japanese Prime Minister on Wednesday said that his country expected India to abide by a unilateral moratorium on atomic tests. Japanese companies have been keen for a slice of India's nuclear energy market, but on any possible civil nuclear cooperation with Japan, Aso said that Japan wanted India to continue a moratorium on nuclear tests.
