Musharraf files nomination

Pakistan's President Pervez Musharraf on Thursday filed his nomination papers for the Presidential elections on October 6, seeking a second term in the face of the most widespread opposition to his rule since he took power in 1999. Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz submitted Musharraf's application to the Election Commission in Islamabad on Thursday. Meanwhile, The Supreme Court is likely decide today on a bunch of petitions challenging Pervez Musharraf holding dual offices of President and Chief of Army Staff.
