The hopes of survival of the ruling coalition and civilian nuclear deal lived on when the UPA government won the crucial confidence vote on Tuesday. The government said it would now put the Indo-US nuclear deal on the fast track. The United States has welcomed the support for the deal in the Lok Sabha.
