One killed, dozens injured in Karachi

At least four small explosions hit the southern Pakistani city of Karachi on Monday, wounding several people. Staff at city hospitals confirmed that 23 people had been wounded, most with small shrapnel wounds. There was no claim of responsibility for the blasts. Karachi has seen battles between rival factions in the 1990's but it has been largely peaceful in recent years.
