Shahbag a manifestation of secular Bangladeshi culture: S Irfan Habib
Updated on Mar 31, 2013 11:09 pm IST
The violence undertaken by the Jamaat in Bangladesh and their continuous attempts to brand Shahbag protesters as non-believers has raised many questions. Is the Shahbag protest secular or anti-Islamic or nationalist or is it all three? Habib further stated that Islam and Islamism are separate and they should be viewed differently.
