Makoto Asano, a Japanese artist who's carved out a range of weird and wonderful faces out of Haagen-Dazs ice cream. This artist has created a range of incredibly life-like faces out of ice cream. There's everything from a winking vanilla man to a spooky chocolate ghost and even a goofy raspberry ripple. Makoto believes it's fun and makes ice cream more interesting. Makoto has to hurry to carve out his faces so the ice cream doesn't melt too quickly – any longer than 5-10 minutes and the carving doesn't work. Once he's carved out a face and puts on the best hairstyle he then refreezes them to dazzle and amaze. He said: “I really enjoy doing it. The faces make people laugh. At the end of the day that's all I want – I want everyone to smile.”
