Video released by a South African conservation group on June 1 documents the daily life a black rhino calf at an animal sanctuary, from the rhino's point of view.

“Thor” was orphaned when it was two weeks old after poachers killed his mother for her horn, according to the video's creator, Working With Rhinos. He is now being cared for by staff and volunteers at a hidden sanctuary run by Care for Wild Africa.

A GoPro-brand camera attached to Thor's back shows the animal eating, sleeping, and playing at the sanctuary along with other young rhinos.

Gary Schneider of Working With Rhinos says Thor's story is “rather unique” and “an opportunity to show the good work being done” at the sanctuary.
