Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday turned emotional while discussing his mother during the Q&A session at Townhall with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg set the tone by talking about a phase in his life he said he had never spoken of ever. Modi then choked up and wept while talking about his mother, Heeraben Modi. “My father …,” he said, beginning to choke up, “my father is no more. Mother is there … she is older than 90, but does all her own work herself.” His voice began was breaking. “You can imagine how much kasht (difficulty) she underwent to raise me. There are lakhs of such mothers in India.”
