Shocking footage has emerged of a chimpanzee smoking a cigarette in what is believed to be a German zoo. An investigation by animal rights group 'Animal Equality' uncovered the disturbing incident, which they claim to have taken place at Schwaben Park family fun park in Kaisersbach, Germany. In one undercover film clip, one of the chimps picks up a cigarette butt thought to be carelessly discarded by a visitor and mimics human behaviour by taking numerous drags, visibly exhaling smoke. The group behind the investigation has called for the park to be closed down and the primates re-homed to a sanctuary. However, it is believed that the park has made a number of changes to its welfare policies since the investigation was done in 2013.
