Watch | The moment baby Blue Tit bird hatches from egg in man's hand

This incredible footage shot by a Polish professor shows a baby Blue Tit bird slowly attempting to shake off its shell while he held it in his hand. The professor from Jagiellonian University was studying the spring mating habits of blue tits when the birth took place on Sweden's Gotland island in May. Baby blue tits grow rapidly once they hatch and are able to flap their wings at approximately 14 days. They usually fledge about five days later.
