A social media campaign has revealed the identity of two women captured in an iconic VE Day photograph taken over 70 years ago in London's Trafalgar Square. The picture was taken when thousands of people had gathered at the iconic landmark to celebrate the fall of Nazi Germany. The two women have been identified as 89-years-old Joyce Digney, who lives in Vancouver, Canada; and Cynthia Covello, who passed away in 1983. Joyce told Associated Press – "Never in a million years did I think 70 years later there would be all this interest."
