Russian air defences repelled drone attacks in Crimea, annexed from Ukraine in 2014. Regional Governor said Ukrainians tried targeting thermal power station but didn't succeed. The power station is near Sevastopol, the home port of Russia's Black Sea naval fleet. Russian air defenses shot down 2-3 drones & ensured no damage to civilian infrastructure. In 2014, when Russian attempts to keep Ukraine in its orbit failed, Putin annexed Crimea. Crimea was one of the launchpads for Russia's invasion of Ukraine on 24th February.
