China has always taken to the eccentric ways of town planning and it is once again in news for its unique method of urbanisation.

This times, Chongqing in south-western China has taken the cake by constructing a bewildering building that harbours a roadway system. The one of a kind structure has a two-lane public road on its rooftop.

Pictures of this five-floor building have led social media users to wonder how the residents live amidst the noise. They were also curious about the quality and sustenance value of the structure.

Reports said the building is located in a hilly area hence the only way to connect the whole compound was through the creation of roads.

Apart from this structure, Chongqing also includes a monorail that passes through residential buildings, a 13-storey high pedestrian bridge and a system of complex flyovers among other peculiar establishments.
