One person has died and another injured after a shooting incident occurred at a mosque in Orebro. As per local reports, the incident occurred during the Friday prayers at the mosque.

Swedish Police have confirmed that of the two injured, a 25-year-old man was declared dead by hospital authorities. The suspect behind the shooting is yet to be arrest and a manhunt for the same is underway.
The shooting came to light after a call regarding the incident came in at 1:45 p.m local time.
Rescue services and an ambulance have also been called to the scene. Furthermore, the police have classified the shooting incident as “attempted murder” linked to gang activity.
As per a report by Aftonbladet, police spokesperson said that officials are still trying to figure out whether the shooting was carried out by one person or several.

- As the investigation continues, the police are probing a connection with a “criminal network environment.”
- The mosque in Örebro has been closed for the evening due to the roadblocks. “Our members are encouraged to pray at home tonight. We would like to thank the blue light staff for their enormous effort,” the mosque said in a press release.
