Lindsay Clancy perpetrated an act that was unimaginably horrific. She used exercise bands to strangle the three children she had with her then-husband, Patrick Clancy, taking their lives.

Despite this, Patrick found it within himself to forgive her. He has since moved forward and is now married to Dr. Rachel Danis. Lindsay's ongoing trial will assess her criminal responsibility for the children's deaths. She acknowledges that she killed them but contends that she was experiencing a medication-induced psychosis and should be placed in a mental health facility.

Why was Patrick Clancy GoFundMe launched?

“This GoFundMe is intended to help Pat pay for medical bills, funeral services and legal help,” the campaign organiser Matthew Glaser wrote.

“This assistance is especially needed because Pat will be unable to work for the foreseeable future as he weathers this painful, life-altering tragedy.”

Patrick Clancy urges public to forgive Lindsay

In an update to the online fundraiser, Patrick said that he has forgiven Lindsay, a labor and delivery nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, whom he characterized as "loving and caring towards everyone."

“I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have,” Patrick said.

“The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone — me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients. The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace.”

Patrick described how their marriage grew significantly stronger despite the fact that his wife's condition “rapidly worsened.”

Clancy has entered a plea of not guilty to the murder charges related to the strangulation deaths of Callan, Dawson, and Cora Clancy, who were aged between 8 months and 5 years. The children were discovered in the basement of their family's residence in coastal Duxbury, Massachusetts, while their mother was found in the yard, severely injured. She is currently paralyzed from the waist down.
