Spokane Aubrey Fire evacuation map: Level 3 orders in effect as blaze burns 50 acres

UPDATE: Evacuation orders for the Aubrey Fire near Spokane, Washington, have been downgraded as firefighting crews make significant progress on the 50-acre wildfire that broke out Sunday afternoon.

At its peak, the fire prompted Level 3 (Go Now) evacuation orders for nearby areas. As of 2 a.m. EDT Monday, those orders have been reduced to Level 2 (Be Set) and Level 1 (Be Ready) in several locations. The fire is now reported to be 80% lined.

Areas Downgraded to Level 2 (Be Set):

Indian Bluff Rd, West Rim Lane, and Equestrian Lane

Riverside State Park users in the affected area

The area between Spokane River and Old Trails Road, from Marchand Road to Seven Mile Road

Areas Downgraded to Level 1 (Be Ready):

South of the VA Hospital and west of Assembly

Between Spokane River and Nine Mile Road, north of the VA Hospital and south of Seven Mile Road

ORIGINAL STORY: The Aubrey Fire has burned over 50 acres in Spokane, Washington, prompting evacuations. According to Spokane Regional Emergency Communications, Level 3 (Go Now) evacuations have been issued for areas between the Spokane River and Old Trails Road, from Marchand Road to Seven Mile Road, as well as between the Spokane River and Nine Mile Road, north of the VA Hospital and south of Seven Mile Road.

  5. Persons using Riverside State Park in the area

Multiple aircraft are currently battling the blaze, including 1 helicopter, 1 air attack plane, and 2 single-engine air tankers (SEATs), according to flight radar data.
