Holbrooke will have a "substantive meeting" with Qureshi tomorrow and call on the President and Prime Minister, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

Qureshi and Holbrooke will discuss a "whole range of bilateral issues" and review the ongoing sectoral meetings being held in Islamabad within the framework of Pakistan-US Strategic Dialogue.

The dialogue was initiated in March this year with the "mutual desire to diversify and augment bilateral relations", the statement said.

Holbrooke's visit will "help inject further momentum into our bilateral efforts towards establishing a long-term mutually beneficial partnership", it added.
