The figures were revised slightly from a prior estimate on Monday. Air France chief executive Pierre-Henri Gourgeon said the variations were due to some passengers who have double nationality.
Among the missing were many businessmen, musicians and a young heir to Brazil's long-defunct monarchy, Pedro Luiz de Orleans e Braganca.
Three people with French tyremaker Michelin were on the flight: Luiz Roberto Anastacio, president for Latin America; Antonio Gueiros, its computer systems chief in Rio and Christine Pieraerts of France, company spokeswoman Monica Batelli said. Three executives with Brazil's oil giant Petrobras also were aboard.
Also on the AF 447 flight were composer-conductor Silvio Barbato, and singer Juliana de Aquino.
